Internationally recognized, Minnesota artist John Strutt III has spent the last
23 years gathering top honors and first place awards in America’s

John’s raptors and songbirds are carved with hair-fine detail, perched and ready to soar. The fact is, John’s subjects are so well researched, so life-like –they nearly take flight.

John’s work has been shown at the Wildlife & Western Art Collectors Society Show, Wildlife Heritage Art Show, Ducks Unlimited shows, Grouse Society of Minnesota, Kansas City Ducks Unlimited, Operation Wild Life, Wisconsin Wildlife Forever Programs, Nature Works Wildlife show, and he was asked to carve a life-size loon and chick for the Minnesota Loon Project. Many of John’s creations are in private collections in the United States and Europe. Ken Carlson, renowned Wildlife artist, has several of John’s pieces, and President Reagan has one of his carvings in the permanent collection in the White House. Also commissioned to carve a full size Bald Eagle for the Department of Interior.

He has been awarded many “Best of Show” ribbons since 1984 as follows:
