On August 22, 2007, I had the pleasure of meeting Linda Besse (Artist) in Chicago, to begin a 27-day Safari of East Africa. During the 27 days, we visited one Kenyan Game Reserve (Samburu) and three National Parks (Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara and Amboseli) in Kenya, and four National Parks (Tarangire, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Serengeti and Lake Manyara) and Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania. Though Linda had been to Africa in the past, the wildlife that we viewed during this tour were fantastic! We had the opportunity to see all of the “Big Six” and more! Linda was overwhelmed by the fact that on her other two trips, she had seen one Leopard—briefly, while this time, we saw NINE Leopards at the various locations, some of them up close! In addition, we saw all three different types of giraffes, black and white rhinos, cheetahs with kittens, zebras, the “Wildebeest Migration” and even a pair of serval cats, combined with all the birds and other African animals.
We hope to see you at the Open House, Show and Demonstration on November 30 - December 1st, 2007. Feel free to email the gallery (info@scissortailart.com), or call (918) 371-7278 to find out details.
